Hello,
Remember? I'm the bloody "user" with the RH 6 box. :-)
I found some time to read some doc, so I made sure to start gnome as
it should be started (with exec gnome-session in ~/.xinitrc, and the
WINDOW_MANAGER environment variable set to 'Enlightenment'). I also
deleted ~/.gnome/session to start session management fresh, and I'm
going to try, with your help, to make the thing work for me, reporting
possible bugs along the way.
As I said, I didn't know where to start to describe the various
problems I met, so I'll start with the first thing I notice when
logging in: it prints on the console the error message :
Gdk-Message: Got event for unknown window: 0
(twice)
What is that ?
Jacques
PS (off topic, just in case someone can help me out) : is there a way
to get the error messages inside X, rather than going to the console
screen and messing with gpm ?
