I have been using floppy and CD drives with the automounter (under /misc).
I have also added /misc/cd to fstab so I can unmount it explicitly, and
so that it will appear on my GMC desktop. Unfortunately, GMC often seems
to want to scan the CD, therefore forcing autofs to mount it, and my
audio CD stops playing! This happens for example, if you just highlight
the CD-rom desktop icon and drag it around... you don't have to actually
try to open the icon.
I notice that the drivemount applets have an option "Use automount-friendly
status test" - is there any way of adding such an option to GMC so it
doesn't keep halting my audio CD?
Using RedHat 6.0 with recent CVS versions of Gnome, GMC, gtcd, etc.
