ftp sites

is it just me or are all the ftp mirrors horribly out of date?  i went
looking for the latest control-center (1.0.6) and found that the majority
of the mirror sites have 1.0.5-13 or 1.0.5-22 and all but gurulabs have
very outdated gnome-core gnomeftp.wgn.net had gnome-core-devel-1.0.2-7.1!
and the gnomeftp site is never acessable.
