Unix-domain sockets...

This might be a bit off topic, forgive me.
I'm running FreeBSD 3.1
when I made esd, something bad happened and it made it's socket
/tmp/.esd/socke (note the lack of a `t'). Now esd, of course, is looking
for /tmp/.esd/socket. Are there any commands that can modify/rename
sockets? cp, chmod, et al. don't work, and I can't for the life of me
figure out why the esd package is doing this to change it.
