yes there are things that can be done here ... but you're sort of getting
into ugly teritory here ... AFAIK I think the whole command line is passed to
/bin/sh for interpreting ... therefore, we have a slight problem ... we'd
have to somehow interpret the command line to figure out the command line ...
if this is no longer a case and we do just an execl ... then the whole
tryexec thing is useless in the first place as we really could just use the
first word
