Um.  I'm looking at Enlightenment right now.  And sure looks a hell of 
a lot better than other window managers.  Sorry, don't see your point.

I also think you're blowing this way out of proportion.  I compile
GNOME stuff from tarballs.  You get the libraries, you install GNOME.
There ya go.  Every now and then you upgrade gtk+/glib or ORBit.

What is so difficult about this?  Geez.
