GDM uses /etc/shells to determine who to show. If a user does not have a
shell assigned that is listed in /etc/shells, the user will not show up (I
found this out because I *wasnt* showing up in the list because /bin/zsh
wasn't in /etc/shells).

Subject: GDM shows not human users at login
Hello there!
At login GDM shows every user in it's menu - even users like lp, squid,
postgres and stuff like that. How can I avoid that? I want only the real
users to appear in the list.
Thanks for help,
Sebastian Weber
