Panel Problems

The panel tends to close and restart, or close and forget the applets, or,
as just happened, it just crashes. The error is thus:


** CRITICAL **: file applet-widget.c: line 663
(gnome_panel_applet_corba_init):
assertion `ev._major == CORBA_NO_EXCEPTION' failed.

** CRITICAL **: file applet-widget.c: line 696 (applet_widget_new):
assertion `corbadat!=NULL' failed.

** ERROR **: Can't create applet!

aborting...


Any ideas?

I use gnome-libs-1.0.5, gnome-core-1.0.4, gtk 1.2.1, ORBit 0.4.2 from the
ftp tarballs.
