It worked for me when they still were named gtk+-1.0.4-* and
gtk+-1.1.1-* but the name doesn't really matter I suppose.

1.0.4... but I thought that the versions within the 1.0.x series were
binary compatible... well we learn something new every day ;)
I guess I have to build myself a new gimp! =)
