 I recommend Maxwell very highly and wish that someone in one of the
comprehensive projects (or in both comprehensive projects) would start 
working with it.  It has a clean way of working with basic Unix
functions that seem unique (as far as I've been able to tell) and
creates an rtf file that is Word readable.

If I were a programmer, I'd be trying to find a better GUI kit for
Maxwell than Motif.  It is still beta, but is functional enough for
reasonable work.

If anyone can get it ported to another GUI tool kit, I'd be quite
happy to test it.
