btw, would it be unreasonable to ask for a pointer to this
version of the ICCCM to be included somewhere around the
reference to session-management in the page at

  http://www.gnome.org/devel/arch/wm.shtml

?  I had never seen the R6.4 ICCCM, and it wouldn't really
have occurred to me to seek it out for session-management
documentation.
