Pls help me to compile (SOLUTION!)

Thank you all for your kind responses and offers to help.
As Matt Chambers sugested, the problem had to do with
having old libs that came with slackware. After removing
those libs, the sources are compiling fine. At the moment
the glib and gtk+. Also, I'm sorry for saying I couldn't
find g_log in the sources. In fact it, and the other symbols,
are there. I probably issued wrong grep command ...
