Hi, I tried installing some gnome modules on a SGI Irix 6.2 machine.
The generated library names are like libglib-1.1.so.4.0 with an symbol link
libglib.so pointing to the original file. The SGI linker does not like
it, complains and refuses to link at run-time. Would it be possible to
generate another symbol link like ligblib-1.1.so automatically so the system
linker won't complain?
Sorry if this is something user-adjustable. I am not familiar with automake,
autoconf stuff.
