Problem with gnome-compliant app rpm binaries

hello,

When i install app compliant-gnome rpm binaries i get the following
error:

/usr/lib/libgnomeui.so.0: undefined symbol: gtk_type_check_object_cast

But it if compile the app, i don't get this error and the app runs. This

error happens with all rpm binaries i have tried.  So for now i have
resorted to tarball installs until i get this problem resolved.
