problem making glib

Hello,

I finally decicded it was time for me to become a gnomer... but
unfortunately I have run into some problems...

I checked out glib from anoncvs about 3 hours ago ( uhh.. about 0:00
utc? ).

autogen.sh --prefix=/usr/local/gnome   worked out ok, but when I did
make:

[some nice compiling stuff]

Try `libtool --help --mode=link' for more information.

Any ideas?  Would I be better off finding the gtk/glib people and asking
them?
