Back to the old cvs problem

I've tried many times today to update cvs and I consistently fail the
same as before:

mcneils@applique [68]: cvs checkout gnome
cvs server: cannot find module `libart_lgpl' - ignored
cvs server: cannot find module `gnome-dom' - ignored
cvs [checkout aborted]: cannot expand modules

If this is just one of the servers not being updated, then it is way
behind by now.  I've had this problem since thurs or fri.

I've even tried to start from scratch in a new directory (following
instructions from web site).  Either I'm still getting the same messed
up server every time, or there's something funny on my side.

Has anyone else had this problem?  Is there a fix?
