Who is the author and where is this secret version?
not in CVS, not on CPAN.

I thought that the idea with a CVS was to uses it for
cooperation, not storing outdated code.
I did make a patch to make gnome-perl compile again
some 10 days ago (applied by Mandrake) and I can do
it again, BUT I will not do it unless I am sure I am
not patching with seriously outdated code.
