Latest is in the eye of the beholder. :)
If you want to work on current GNOME stuff, you have to make sure that
your glib, gtk+, and gnome-libs are all compiled out of CVS within a
short time period from each another.
If you want to work on pre-packaged distributions, then you need the
libs that were current at the time the distribution was made.
In this case, you need glib 1.1.3 and gtk+ 1.1.2 to build gnome-libs 0.30.1.
