libgnomeui.so linking

I've installed gnome, as well as the dependent libraries (thoue
obviously not all of them).
When I to test the installation run the panel program I get the
following linking error,
panel: error in loading shared libraries
/usr/lib/libgnomeui.so.0: undefined symbol: g_str_hash
I'm wondering what library have I forgotten?
