ICQ for Gnome

Hello all,

This is my first message to the group, and I like to say how glad I was 
to find a group working on a real desktop for Linux.

While cruising the web site, I noticed that an ICQ client for Gnome was 
on the TODO list.  It also said that someone had reverse-engineered the 
protocol.  I would like to volunteer to take on this project if I can get 
the protocol from someone.  I use ICQ everyday, and have really enjoyed 
it.

I understand there could be some larger legal issues, but I want to go 
ahead anyway.  If nothing else, I think it would be a great introduction 
to GTK and Gnome.  I had hoped to implement ICQ for another unsupported 
OS anyway, once I got around to figuring out the protocol. :-)
