gnome-app problems with displaying pixmaps

Hello 

I did it, and compiled the whole gnome-0.13 package, but then i tried
to start some apps and ran into the following problems:

e.g. the Panel starts,  and then after loading the pixmaps, it crashes !
with  this error

** ERROR **: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
IOT trap/Abort

so i did a strace and also tried to debug
here what gdb tells me:

ok it seams thats an gdk_imlib problem, but at this point i ran out of ideas.
and also the debugger didn't let me going inside gdk_imlib code, (any hints
i can do that, haven't to much knowledge about debuggin sharedßd-libs)


Ok,. i tried to remove all panel*xpm  and the panel did start !!!

So please help

do i need special Xlibs ?
I have installed XFree86.3.3.2 libs and using MetroX 3.1, but also tried
with XFree86 Server and doing remote display, no difference at all,
