Guile-gnome

Would it be possible to have the guile-gnome bindings abstract these
things into Scheme lists and vectors?  That would seem to me like a
convenient way to handle things.

Please tell me if this sounds stupid; I know close to nothing about
Guile's way of doing things :-)
