DOCBOOK problem

Hi!

I've been wondering how to write a GERMAN documentation with docbook.
(Basically \usepackage[german]{babel} in LaTeX.)

Is it planned to be supported? If not, than docbook is perhaps the wrong
tool for Gnome which tries to be I18n (and the software is mostly i18n
compliant:) ).

So question: Does Docbook support german, french, ..., and if not, then,
when will it start to support it? *wonder*
