Hi!
I'm putting together a little app that I know I'm going to need
Drag and Drop services for. This is the only thing from this list
that I remember seeing. Has anyone else looked at the site? Is this
something that may be added to Gnome? Gtk? Is there some other DND
protocol that people are considering?
Thanks!

KDE will use the X Windows Drag-And-Drop Protocol in the future.

It was developed by John Lindal, the author of JX, with lots of feedback
from Arnt Gulbrandsen at Troll Tech and input from Elliot Lee of Red Hat
Software.
