guile 1.2

Hello all,

I just download the gnome 0.12 source. This is my first time compiling
gnome. But when I run ./configure for gnome 0.12. It gives error:

checking for scm_boot_guile in -lguile... no
configure: error: Can not find Guile 1.2 on the system 

However, I have installed guile 1.2 and its headers files and library
files are in /usr/local/include and /usr/local/lib repsectively. Can
someone help me on this problem.
