Uh oh.. shouldnt start this discussion again. Yes, you may 
download the source and even modify it. But you cant modify 
AND redistribute it. That is problem. Read the archives for both 
the gnome and kde mailing lists (plus related newsgroups) and 
you will understand the problems.
