I mostly agree.  I also belive it would be worth I time to modify gnu
ghostscript (work with gnu people on this) to allow better plug in print
drivers.  It would be nice to have a plug in system so that you don't have to
recompile ghostscript when you want to add a print driver.  Also we should
probally develope a metafile type system for GNOME apps.
