Dear DocBook enthusiasts,
I have incorporated the state of the art in DocBook stylesheets
(Norman Walsh's "modular stylesheets") into the RPM distribution.
These are much more complete, and look much better than what I had out
before. The scripts still have the same names: db2html, db2dvi,
db2rtf, db2ps. Notice that:
HTML output now goes into a directory of its own, with the
root file usually called directory/book01.html
The TeX path still has weaknesses in tables and <revhistory>
The RTF output is probably the nicest for printing, but there
are no free tools to print RTF. I have tried Applixware (an
MS-Word replacement from Red Hat), and it works pretty well.
The new packages (at ftp://ftp.cygnus.com/pub/home/rosalia/) are
stylesheets-0.1-1c.i386.rpm and jadetex-0.56-0.i386.rpm, so you could
just do:
rpm -vv --upgrade stylesheets-0.1-1c.i386.rpm
rpm -vv --upgrade jadetex-0.56-0.i386.rpm
Here's the list of RPMs:
docbook-3.0-5.i386.rpm sgml-common-0.0-4.i386.rpm
jade-1.0_1-3.i386.rpm sgml-demo-0.0-7.i386.rpm
jadetex-0.56-0.i386.rpm stylesheets-0.1-1c.i386.rpm
psgml-1.0.1-5.i386.rpm
