The CVS version is pretty different from the gnome-0.12 release: we
have splitted the tree in various packages (to allow people to just
install the gnome-libs without compiling the whole thing). 

I plan to sync the next gnome release with the next Gtk release (due
in about 10-12 days probably? can not remember).
