There was a somewhat lengthy discussion of this very topic not all that
long ago (I can't remember who started it though;^)).  Check the
gnome-list archives for more info.  I do think that the point about
generating the config dialogs dynamically from config files was lost in
the shuffle.  I'm sure it can be done in scheme though;^)
