There's already a gnome package available.

Actually, I'm taking over the package from Riku Voipu (who did an
awesome job on it).

Does that me giving the money to me?  That might be a bad idea - if I
had money, I might find something better to do than sit at my computer
and hack on things.  :-)

I'm going to work on the Gnome .deb packages today - working off the
snapshots.  Perhaps I'll put the "debian" directory with the build
scripts into CVS so the workload can be spread around a bit (either at
my server or in the official Gnome CVS if that's acceptable).

I've got to do a mico .deb too.
