I just got "inside corba", a booch & friends "object series" addison
welsey book. (forget the author's names)

So far it is very good--I'm up to ~ page 50.  Covered IDL so far, and
some general (obvious) intro stuff.  It seems to go on to describe the
design (and why) of corba (I'll have more to say when I've finished
reading it, of course).
