Re: RPMs (was: GNOME 0.99.1 release is out.)




If you want to update 0.99.1 to RPM, grab the 0.99.0 SRPMs and rpm -i
them. cd /usr/src/redhat/SPECS and edit them. Change the version from
0.99.0 (or 0.99, or however it looks) to 0.99.1. Then cd
/usr/src/redhat/SOURCES and rm all of the 0.99.0 .tar.gz files and copy
the 0.99.1 sources there. cd back to /usr/src/redhat/SPECS. To build a
binary rpm, do: rpm -bb <specfile>

If, for some reason, the spec file needs to be modified much from the last
release, just wait a few days until someone posts new RPM files.
