bugs in gmc, utilities, games in 0.90 tarball version

I've recompiled icewm, with gnome options, and gmc, with gnome options and included slang, and gmc doesn't recognize icewm as a gnome-compliant window manager.

There are other problems, like seg faults when I try using the menu.

Also, in the utilities, canvas for gnome card and time tracker seems
totally whacked and these two programs start as minimized rectangles.
Calendar seems okay, so I didn't think it was completely a gtk problems.

There seems to be a similar problem in aisleriot -- it flashes the cards
and dies.  Other games are more okay (though mahghong loses it
erratically when asked for hints).

RedHat 5.1 with upgrades, gettext 0.10.35.
