gnomecc crashes with panel

I set the theme to be "Metal" in the control-center, commit the change,
close and restart gnomecc. Then control-center itself crashes whenever I
preview another theme. Sometimes it crashes right away, sometimes it waits
until I try to move the window. The weird part: this problem only happens
when the panel is running. Here's the backtrace from the core file from

The other themes don't seem to cause this problem.
