Hi,
I do not have a soundcard and so I don't need soundsupport in
gnome. But gnome-libs fails to compile if the esound libs are nor
installed.
gcc -g -O2 -Wall -Wno-unused -Wmissing-prototypes -Wmissing-declarations -Wpointer-arith -o .libs/gnome-dump-metadata -L/usr/local/lib -lglib gnome-dump.o -Wl,--rpath -Wl,/opt/gnome/lib .libs/libgnome.so -L/usr/local/lib -lglib -lm -ldl -lm -Wl,--rpath -Wl,/opt/gnome/lib ../support/.libs/libgnomesupport.so -lm -ldb -L/usr/local/lib -lglib -ldl -lm
.libs/libgnome.so: undefined reference to `esd_sample_free'
.libs/libgnome.so: undefined reference to `esd_close'
.libs/libgnome.so: undefined reference to `esd_confirm_sample_cache'
.libs/libgnome.so: undefined reference to `esd_sample_play'
.libs/libgnome.so: undefined reference to `esd_sample_cache'
.libs/libgnome.so: undefined reference to `esd_open_sound'
Dirk
