I have identical problems - except with the 'unable to connect' part
(as I ran ESD & first) I open up WindowMaker and from an xterm I run
gnonme-session (default.session only runs gnome-help-browser, panel,
and gnome-smproxy). I get the exact same error a sbelow except for the
ESD and the WM stuff. I've decided to be helpful (WooWoo) and I've
included a 'bt' from gdb:
(gdb) bt
#0 0x40156185 in SmsRegisterClientReply ()
#1 0x8049e8c in register_client (connection=0x807d200, data=0x805de80,
previous_id=0x0) at manager.c:206
#2 0x401578f0 in _SmsProcessMessage ()
#3 0x40161e20 in IceProcessMessages ()
#4 0x40054cd8 in process_ice_messages (client_data=0x807c978, source=12,
condition=GDK_INPUT_READ) at gnome-ice.c:26
#5 0x4027ba8a in gdk_event_wait () at gdk.c:1941
#6 0x4027aca1 in gdk_event_get () at gdk.c:959
#7 0x401ebe5f in gtk_main_iteration_do (blocking=1) at gtkmain.c:674
#8 0x401ebdd3 in gtk_main_iteration () at gtkmain.c:619
#9 0x401ebc35 in gtk_main () at gtkmain.c:523
#10 0x804ae17 in main (argc=1, argv=0xbffffa24) at main.c:97
manager.c is part of the gnome-core stuff :) so it "may" be fixed (or
may not) - Can somebody pretty please look into this :) Thanx
