problem with gtk-xmhtml

Over the past month I have had the same problem with gtk-xmhtml in the
gnome-libs module.

I keep getting:

gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I.. -I./.. -I/opt/gnome/include
-I/usr/X11R6/include -I/usr/local/lib/glib/include -I/usr/local/include
-DWITH_GTK -DDEBUG -DGNOME_LIB -I/usr/X11R6/include
-I/usr/local/lib/glib/include -I/usr/local/include -O4
-mpentium -finline-functions -fkeep-inline-functions -funroll-loops -mpentium
-mcpu=pentium -march=pentium -malign-loops=2 -malign-jumps=2
-malign-functions=2 -Wall -Wno-unused -Wmissing-prototypes
-Wmissing-declarations -Wpointer-arith -Wp,-MD,.deps/frames.p -c frames.c
>/dev/null 2>&1
make[2]: *** [frames.lo] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/cvs/gnome/gnome-libs/gtk-xmhtml'

I can go into gtk-xmhtml, run the actual commands that are ran by hand, copy
the frame.o to frame.lo and frame.lo., finish the command that is ran with it,
and it compiles fine, but for some reason when ran from the toplevel directory
it keeps doing this. I have checked out fresh copies several times, and still
the same result, any ideas?
