Re: imlib failed dependencies

On 23 Aug, David Smock shouted:
-> After having a hard time getting gnome compiled on an old slackware
-> distribution, I switched to Redhat 5.0 w/ errata. I have all the rpms
-> binaries needed, and started installing them. I get this error on imlib
->  1.7-1:
->
->  [root@merendino gnome]# rpm -Uvh imlib-1.7-1.i386.rpm
->  failed dependencies:
->          libgdk.so.1 is needed by imlib-1.7-1
->          libglib.so.1 is needed by imlib-1.7-1
->          libgtk.so.1 is needed by imlib-1.7-1
->
-> I checked /usr/lib/ and these libraries are there:
->  libgdk-1.1.so.1      libgdk-1.1.so.1.0.0
->  libglib-1.1.so.0      libglib-1.1.so.0.1.1
->  libgtk-1.1.so.1      libgtk-1.1.so.1.0.0

not you have gtk1.1 isntalled - it is binarey incompatible wiht 1.0

i need the gtk/lib rpms for 1.0 installed.

-> are the versions of these libs to advanced for the current release of
->  imlib?
->
->  Thanks,
->  David
