You might want to check out the lucida fonts. lucidasanstypewriter is
a really nice terminal font, very legible. 10, 12, 14, 18, and 24 point
sizes (regular and bold) come in the X distribution - the 14pt one is
probably about the 8x16 size you are looking for.
