     I wonder why people seem to dislike MDI frames that much.

My $0.02: I like MDI.  Frames are annoying because the "back" button
doesn't work the same as the "Go" menu; and keyboard focus is almost
always in the wrong "frame" so I have to use the mouse to scroll.
You'd think that the browsers would move keyboard focus to the only
window that has a scroll bar...
