Bug report for the panel

Bugreport for the panel. Has anyone else seen these problems?

When starting the panel (/usr/bin/panel) it first warns about .xpm's not found:
(I've removed empty lines for brevity)

** WARNING **: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "netwatch-modem-up.xpm" line 16

Then, it shows a blank window at the bottom, and it goes into an endless loop printing:

** WARNING **: gtk_menu_attach_to_widget(): menu already attached to GtkMenuItem

[etc...]

And it has to be killed by Ctrl-C.

I tried compiling gnome-core but I couldn't get past autogen.sh as was
suggested earlier. The autogen.sh script wants a file it can't find:

./autogen.sh: ./macros/autogen.sh: No such file or directory

It would be nice to have some more info on the web site on how to get
sources and build on your own, whenever someone finds the time to do
it. That would have enabled me to rebuild the panel and search for the
bug myself. In the early stages of this project, some info like that
would probably save some overall time and help us get to the goal
faster I think. Right now I feel kind of stuck with the redhat rpms and
I want to help :-)
