project proposal: network tool

the short version: take a copy of tkined and look at it. if you agree with me
that gnome needs such a thing, mail me.

i need someone who knows his way around gnome, as i don't yet. i know by now a
bit about gtk programming, but anyone with more experience would be very
welcomed. as well as anyone with access to a real network (100+ nodes) to test
the beast. i do have that access, but that net is a productive one and they
will kill me if i do anything beyond some pings and fingers. :) so if you have
one that can go down in the evening, as long as it's up again the next
morning...
