? looking at the code; again (just updated) there are 5 calls to
mkstemp; the first creates a file in /tmp/ and doesn't do a chmod at all
[ the most critical ], the other 4 (2 instances) seem to save the
(temporary) file then do the chmod afterwards I think. [ much less
critical since the directory is invisible to all but the user ].
