Another gnome-kde interoperability mailing list

Have you folks seen
  http://www.freedesktop.org/
Looks like it might be addressing the same problem as this list
(gnome-kde-list@gnome.org).

The site says:

The X Desktop Group is a free software project to work on
interoperability and shared technology among desktop environments
for the X Window System. The most famous X desktops are GNOME and
KDE. This web site is for developers interested in joining the X
Desktop Group, and for people interested in developing applications
that take advantage of X desktop technology.

Linux.com has a more user-oriented desktop site; you can also get
a brief overview of the available free desktops here.

For Linux operating system standards below the desktop layer,
please see the Linux Standard Base project. XDG is affiliated with
the Free Standards Group.

If you have any comments or questions about this site please send
a message to hp@freedesktop.org.
