Re: Font article for GNOME Journal -- writing request

Nicolas, I am deeply sorry that I didn't have time to make these corrections yesterday. I apologize -- I know you really care about people getting accurate information, as do I! I am cc'ing the GNOME Journal list in case someone else can do the edit before me.

Nicolas, this is way better! I may make some stylistic changes, but
it's much more readable. Thank you for writing this!
And thanks a lot to you for your extra screenshots and various fixes and
extra links.

Now I noticed that various bugs slipped in, I hope it's possible to do
some minor modifications. Must have added the wrong gsettings block from
earlier schemas. Oops...

(old ->  new).

Bistream ->  Bitstream
Buzgilla ->  Bugzilla

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface.font "Dejavu Serif" "10"
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface.font "Liberation Serif" "10"
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface.font "Linux Biolinum G" "10"

You can also tweak extra font settings. For example:

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface.monospace_font_name
"Inconsolata " "10"
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface.font_name "FifthLeg" "10"
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface.document_font_name  "Andika
Basic" "10"

->

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface font-name "Dejavu Serif 10"
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface font-name "Liberation Serif 10"
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface font-name "Linux Biolinum G 10"

You can also tweak extra font settings. For example:

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface monospace-font-name
"Inconsolata 10"
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface document-font-name  "Andika
Basic 10"
settings set org.gnome.desktop.interface text-scaling-factor  "1.1"
