Integration of legacy plotting and Gtk canvas widgets

Hi all

I've an idea to write an article for Gnome Journal on some work I've
done recently integrating an old plotting system (direct to
server-side pixmaps) rendering system with Goocanvas. The result was
fast and made it possible for a lot more to be done "on top" of the
output of the old plotting system. I'd go through some of the issues
involved in integrating legacy graphics libraries with a modern
Gtk+/Cairo/Canvas application.

I'm not sure if this article idea fits in with the list of accepted
categories on the Gnome Journal web page. Would it be accepted?
