Re: GNOME Journal's publishing date

Hi,

I thought about moving the release dates for 2006 one month back, that
is: every even numbered month on the 15th. The reasons are:

 * publishing in the same month as GNOME is bad because most people have
other things to do (bug squashing, preparing translations, the
   LiveCD, etc.)
 * having an edition one month before and one month after a release
makes it possible to generate some preview (the GNOME prerelease
tour, for example) and an afterview (reactions on the release).
 * it's better from an advertising point of view because there's always
news around GNOME then. Makes the time between releases somewhat
   shorter for users.

If there's no objection, I'll change the dates on our wiki pages tomorrow.

Cheers,
Claus
