Sri Ramkrishna created an issue #509:

We are playing with a bot on extensions rebooted matrix/irc channel. We want to help grow the community and thought that adding a bot would work well. We have a bot in testing and looking for guidance on how to test it without having to host it on an individual machine.

Any ideas here?
