I can't currently send a release announcement to gnome-announce-list at the moment because smtp.gnome.org is blacklisting mail servers based on the Barracuda RBL:

As someone who runs their own mail server I understand the need to block spam at the SMTP level, however I would suggest that giving a private American company that is subject to no oversight control over who can and can't sent email is perhaps a bad idea.
Rather than blacklisting mail servers based on RBLs in general and Barracuda's in particular, smtp.gnome.org should grey list instead, which will be just as effective in blocking spam, however will still allow legitimate mail servers to route around censorship by arbitrary, unaccountable organisations such as that.
